Make Way for Ducklings

Make Way for Ducklings by Robert McCloskey was our FIAR book this week.  We love our McCloskey books...something special about the old, simple books, huh?  My personal favorite is One Morning in Maine.  This book is great if you have a little one losing his/her first tooth.  

What else are we reading?  Swiss Family Robinson.  And Mama is reading, besides the 900 pg. novel that seems to never come to an end, The Read-A-Loud Handbook and 100 Best Books for Children.  I love books and book lists.  But it is too beautiful outside to be snuggled up with a book...

Besides literature, we are looking forward to the CHEF Homeschool Convention this weekend, as well as Festival International!
