Anna and the New Coat

The above title is the name of our FIAR book we completed this past week. The kids loved the story. We took measurements of each other and they made a place mat by weaving construction paper strips. The "real" learning came when the boys left for a weekend fishing trip with both G-pa's and Ruth and I (by her request) sewed a skirt, went to the NEW library (which is fantastic!), and visited Mammy. The boys caught a few fish but more valuable than that they were with Dad and both G-pa's...how often does that happen? Canaan is literally already packing his bags to go back. All in all it was a delightful weekend...and a quiet one at that!
