With the donning of white gloves and a lace dress, Ruth's accent changed from Cajun to English on Easter morning. (I like to admire this picture and imagine that I am in England as well.) Coincidentally, we are trying to encourage Ruth to talk "nicer" to others. Her sassy tone can at times be very ugly and hurtful, and I try to explain to her that while she looks beautiful on the outside, lashing out to others can make her all together ugly. Currently, my famous quote is "Turn your frown upside down". It usually works.
