Pesto Making

Canaan has incredible work ethic. Not by anything we've done. Simply a trait he inherited. Not all of our children are like this. Today he decided to harvest our basil and make pesto (school for today I guess). He really did it all except for measurements. I've never seen a child so excited to make pesto. Then afterwards he insisted he help make miso soup. He got as far as soaking seaweed and eating it and then I shipped them all off to bed for naps (i just needed a break). If he were a little older I could take a nap and wake up to miso & veggie soup. It is nice to see the different traits in each child and learn to accept them as God created them to be.
