Above is Ruth's painting from "Uncle T's" Monday night art class. (yes, you have to turn your head to view) They are currently working with acrylics and learning to paint lines. Notice her Van Gogh approach to the amount of paint she uses.
In school this week we finished the month on plants in science. The children learned the difference between simple and compound leaves and collected several from the yard. They then painted them with watercolor and made prints on paper.
In Geography they learned about N,S,E, and W with tape on the ground. They played board games to work on counting and number recognition. They dictated A Weed is a Flower by making an accordion book. They are reading The Great Brain by John D. Fitzgerald with their Dad at night, as well as their bible stories.
The weather has been beautiful and the remainder of their days have been outside, Canaan working hard with Dad at work.
