This year my kids joined with a few other families to make ornaments which they passed out at a nursing home. They prepared a few Christmas carols and Chap brought his guitar to entertain the residents at St. Agnes Nursing Home. The kids enjoyed passing out gifts to each resident and wishing each person a very Merry Christmas! Amazingly, none of them were bashful or scared. This event took the place of their regular Christmas party at school. I'm glad they were giving instead of receiving this time.
