Our hens are laying quite a good bit of eggs this winter. Today I got nine! Canaan has started a little business of selling the eggs for $3/dozen. He feeds them in the early morning. We finally fenced off the back of the yard, but since the birds have been exposed to the front, they just fly over the fence. Needless to say, we have mulch tossed everywhere from our beds. As long as they don't get the blueberries! (they are blooming) Looks like we need to clip some wings.
